Kaziranga National Park
A UNESCO World Heritage Reserve, Kaziranga is considered one of the most beautiful wildlife parks in India. Kaziranga is the home of one-horned Rhino (almost 70% population of one-horned Rhino in the world). But apart from the one-horned Indian Rhino, the park is home to a large population of Indian Elephants, Tigers Swamp Deer, Indian Bison, Hog Deer, Sloth Bears, Leopard Cats, Jungle Cats, Hog Badgers, Capped Langurs, Hoolock Gibbons, Wild Boar, Jackal, Wild Buffalo, Pythons, Monitor Lizards, and other wildlife. Kaziranga is also known as the birding paradise and is a great spot for birdwatchers.
Way to reach Kaziranga National Park: Kaziranga is an easily accessible destination with Jorhat being the closest important city (3 ½ hours driving distance) while Guwahati is around 5 ½ hours driving distance away.
P.S. Kaziranga National Park remains closed for visitors from May 01st to October 30th.
Board a morning flight from Delhi to Guwahati. You will be assisted at Guwahati airport and transferred to Kaziranga to check-in your wildlife resort. After brief leisure, enjoy campfire followed by dinner at your jungle resort.
Early morning proceed for an elephant safari into the dense forest of Central range. This range offers an excellent opportunity to track the one horned rhino, Tigers, Water Buffalo and Swamp Deer along with other big mammals. Post elephant safari, return back to your resort and have breakfast. After brief leisure, proceed for a jeep safari into the Western Range. This range has maximum short grass areas and is the best habitat for Rhino and Water Buffalo. After jeep safari, return back to your resort and have lunch. After brief leisure, proceed for an afternoon jeep safari into the central region of the park to witness the elephants as well as other mega herbivores. Later return back to your resort and enjoy campfire followed by dinner.
Early morning proceed for another jeep safari to the Central range, if lucky, you will get the chance to encounter the king of the jungle in his own kingdom. In term of animal sighting Central range considered as the best range of Kaziranga.
Post safari, return back to resort for breakfast. Later checkout & enjoy your lunch. At appropriate time you will be transferred to Guwahati airport/railway station for your onward journey. The wildlife tour ends here.
